There have been some recent studies done at the University of Manchester which have shown that there are at least 3 essential oils of those tested that have destroyed MRSA and E. coli bacteria in two minutes. I am attaching a link to view this article in the news as it was published. Please note that there are issues restricting them from publishing exactly which oils these were.
Essential oils and herbal, natural remedies cannot be patented and therefore cannot be held exclusive by any commercial company out there. They are not a big money making industry to the pharmaceutical companies and thus have not been extensively researched or promoted. However, they most definitely justify looking into if you care about your health. Prevention is up to the individual.
