Green Tea Skin Saver

Most of us have our vises, such as our morning coffee or that glass or two of wine both of which, in moderation, are actually beneficial to your health. It is important to take care of your skin from the inside as well as from the outside. So why not reach for something that is beneficial and refreshing instead of a high sugar or a high caffeine drink. This recipe can be mixed up and kept in your fridge ready whenever you need it. And it's delicious .

I discovered this recipe in a book by the pharmaceutical and dermatological chemist, Ben Kaminsky and his son Howard, called BEYOND BOTOX. It can be kept ready in your refrigerator or taken with you to work. And you get a nice dose of polyphenols and antioxidants everytime you have a glass...

3 cups of freshly brewed green tea. (Tea polyphenols are promising chemopreventive agents against ultraviolet-induced skin cancers.)

2 cups fresh super berries. Use any combination of wild blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, black raspberries, acai, strawberries or cherries without the pits.

1 cup pineapple juice.

Club soda or ginger ale as desired.

Brew tea; remove tea bags. Mix 3 cups of the brewed tea with the berries and pineapple juice in a large pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled.

To drink, pour 1 cup of the liquid into a tall glass. Scoop up several tablespoons of the berries with the cup of liquid. Add a splash of soda or ginger ale and enjoy.

This is a great substitute for coffee or tea.
